Review: Jovah’s Angel

Let me begin with admitting that I am not big on sci-fi/fantasy. Maybe the amount of reviews I have put up on that genre might refute my claim, but it is still true. I find most of them intriguing, but according to me, there are only very few writers who can actually spin a tale that is fascinating and draws the reader in instead of just a garble of words which is a combination of bad alien documentaries and worse action movies.
After Archangel, I thought Sharon Shinn fell in the former category.
For those who have not read the Samaria Series before, it has a roughly Renaissance level of technology and a world clearly named after the area around Israel and just as clearly not actually set there.… Continue Reading?

Review: Archangel

Archangel is not what science-fiction usually is. It is so much more than that. There are a variety of inherent themes that have been woven together so perfectly…so brilliantly by an author just into her second book, that it makes you sit up straighter and read all of her other books as soon as possible.
